A rich and fulfilling college experience expands beyond the classroom. The School of Education provides opportunities for our students to delve into the world around them, make connections across cultures, serve their communities, and learn the leadership and research skills that will serve as the foundation for a successful future.
Get involved. Find your place. Learn outside the classroom.
Student Organizations
The School of Education is affiliated with a number of student organizations in the arts, health, and education so you can get involved with and learn from a niche group of people who share your passions.
Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion
Diversity, inclusion, and access to higher education are three of the UW–Madison School of Education’s highest priorities. We support several programs and initiatives that serve K–12, undergraduate, and graduate students.
Career Center
The Career Center is committed to supporting the lifelong career development and success of the School of Education students. The center is dedicated to working with employers, UW faculty, and staff, families, and other community partners toward that goal, in mutually beneficial ways.
MERIT Library and Tech Support
MERIT connects people, information, and technology in an inclusive and engaged environment. Through reliable and proactive service, we empower the School of Education community to achieve innovation and excellence in teaching, learning, and research throughout the world.
Student Jobs
At the Student Job hub, students can find meaningful opportunities that can support their educational pursuits and lifestyle while also gaining critical professional and personal skills. Positions are posted throughout the year and updated daily for jobs in both the academic year and summer terms.
Recreational Sports and Activities
UW–Madison Recreation & Wellbeing is dedicated to moving Badgers to play hard, get fit, and live well. They offer recreational sports, individual fitness, activities and lessons, and special events. With four indoor and four outdoor facilities located around campus, you'll find a convenient option for your active needs.
University Health Services
More than just medical care, University Health Services offers support in the areas of mental health, violence prevention and survivor care, environmental and occupational health, and risk-behavior assessment. They can also assist with student health care coverage.
Student Assistance
The Dean of Students Office can support students with issues that they're not sure how to handle or they don't know who to turn to. They provide assistance, intervention, prevention, and referral services to the university community.
"From various research opportunities to interesting courses to delicious ice cream, UW had so much to offer. When I took my campus tour, I knew that this would be my home for the next few years."
