Department of Theatre and Drama presenting ‘Julius Caesar’ through March 8

UW-Madison's Department of Theatre and Drama presents their production of “Julius Caeser,” by William Shakespeare, through March 8. The play follows “a country riven by polarization” and “a resistance pushing its ideals to an extreme action.” Performances are at the Mitchell Theatre in Vilas Hall.

Department of Theatre and Drama presents ‘Clybourne Park’ through Nov. 24

The School of Education’s Department of Theatre and Drama presents its production of “Clybourne Park,” which opened on Friday, Nov. 15 in the Mitchell Theatre and runs through Nov. 24. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award for Best Play, “Clybourne Park” is an explosive, sharp-witted, and intense look at questions of race, gentrification, and community.

‘Evil Dead: The Musical’ runs through Aug. 25; returns Sept. 12-29

This summer, the School of Education’s’ Department of Theatre and Drama is putting on a production of “Evil Dead: The Musical,” which runs through Aug. 25. The musical binds elements from the cult classic films "The Evil Dead," "Evil Dead 2," and "Army of Darkness" into a chaotic, comedic, and musical adventure. Following the summer production, "Evil Dead" returns to the stage for a second run, Sept. 12-29.
