Art Doctoral Minor

In Wisconsin, to be eligible for a superintendent license, you must either be in a Ph.D. program and have completed preliminary exams (dissertation proposal) or hold an educational specialist certificate.

Doctoral students may pursue an Option A minor in science education. The 12-credit minor in science education is composed of graduate-level courses (at the 500 level or above) that each devote a minimum of 50 percent of their content to science education topics/issues.
Special Education Doctoral Minor
The doctoral minor in special education provides a special education focus to doctoral studies in other departments. Special education faculty members prepare students to bring systemic change to educational and community settings to improve access and equity for youth with disabilities and their families. Courses address issues including increasing equity across diverse groups of students, improving post-school outcomes, and enhancing teacher efficacy in secondary education methodologies.
